Getting started

Idam3D is a browser-based, local-first 3D editor. You can start without an account, and your projects remain in your browser unless you export them.

  1. Choose a starting point. Open a showcase template to learn by exploring, or choose an empty scene.
  2. Select and shape. Click an object in the viewport or Layers panel. Use Move, Rotate, and Scale, then add primitives, imported GLBs, materials, or textures.
  3. Save something portable. Continue with local autosave, download an editable backup, or export a PNG or static GLB.
Stage What to do
Build Start with templates, primitives, characters, imported GLBs, or reusable library objects.
Organize Rename, group, hide, lock, reorder, and search layers.
Style Apply materials and local image textures; tune lighting, camera, background, grid, and shadows.
Animate Keyframe position, rotation, and scale with timing, looping, easing, and local interactions.

Idam3D autosaves projects in your browser and keeps recent recovery versions. An editable backup is the safest way to preserve supported editor data or move a project between browsers.

Use a current desktop browser with WebGL enabled. Close other graphics-heavy tabs, reload, and try hardware acceleration.

Use a self-contained GLB with supported compression and embedded resources. Unsupported compression or external-resource references are rejected safely.

Idam3D currently has no accounts, cloud saves, analytics, or public gallery. Projects, recovery versions, and imported models stay in your browser unless you export them.
